on the developer.android.com website is released an new sdk included android 1.1 system image. That is compatible with T-Mobile G1. But they not described about installation of this system image on an G1.

Has some one experience with installation of new system images on an G1 or dev phone? I have dev phone 1 with firmware 1.0 but i would need newer system/firmware in case of coding my apps in both english and german languages. Newer android 1.1 has better support for german.

I did not found neither an official guide nor tool for installation of new system images on an G1 or dev phone.

It probably is compatible with the G1 1.1 image, like the image with SDK 1.0 was compatible with the G1 1.0 image.
