I'd recommend checking out Beginning Android Games by Mario Zechner and Robert Green. Their book is solid, and they're both great guys who care a lot about the Android gaming community.

For a beginner I will suggest you to go through all the articles and information available at developer.android.com. Once you are done getting knowledge with the basics then move on to books available over internet.

Commonsware books are good for android.
Dont refer the "Professional android application development" by "Reto mier" it is confusing .It is not suitable for beginner.
