I am looking for a good book to develop a proprietary video player for MP4 format. I am also looking for a book that can help me develop Barcode scanning SW.

I am not interested in developing any more applications using Air or Flex (quality is not acceptable) or pulling in an exsiting Barcode scanner due to the nature of my development.

I am not sure if I should look for an Android or a Java Development book. I am use to developing in the embedded level and Java was my "Man-Machine" IDE.

Please provide comments

Due to the specific nature of your inquiry, I doubt you will find any books on the subject. There are likely many scholarly articles and research papers that have been written on the subject. Check out Google Scholar and see what you can find.

I think you have to take a look at amazon.. but first ask this questions in stackflow forums and they will guide you to the right direction..
