Some Remarks and Comments

Postby Funfactor » Mon Oct 06, 2008 5:09 pm

Hi, I think the idea and realisation of andbook is great but the book can be made better ;-)

I just added some remarks in the PDF Version.

I think the complete code of the example (as an addendum or downloadable) would help to understand.

Regards,

Funfactor

Hello plusminus,
First I wish to acknowledge their efforts by the community Android.
Then I would ask you permission to translate the document into Portuguese,
then what do you think?

I greatly appreciate the availability of "andbook".

Thanks for the heads-up, but there's a lot to be rewritten for SDK 1.0. The books if from the M5 days I believe, so that's a long way back.

What about the possibility to start a wikibook?
Its easier and better to update...

if you agree, i would start to port this book to wikibooks.org

ok, thanks.
But what about
Syntax: [ Download ] [ Hide ]
Using java Syntax Highlighting
  1.
  2. Intent i = new Intent(StartingSubactivities.this,
  3.
  4.                                  MySecondActivity.class);
Parsed in 0.030 seconds, using GeSHi 1.0.8.4

It says "StartingSubactivities cannot be resolved to a type".
Any Ideas?

Thank you and keep up the good work (everyone) :-)

ok, nevermind,
found the mistake.

"StartingSubactivities.this" is wrong because my name of the class is a different one.
