Mundu (Instant) Messenger - Review

Postby plusminus » Wed Apr 15, 2009 7:44 pm

Hello Community,

ok... my time is limited but I got the chance to test the 'Mundu Messenger' a multi platform Instant Messaging Client.

As always: pictures say(show) more than words :)

Image

You can add multiple profiles from these platforms (I chose ICQ)
Image

On startup you can select which accounts to login to
Image

Nicely polished contact list (unfortunately groups could not be collapsed with me)
Image

Copy-Paste support in the chat-window :D
Image

Conferences (Multi User Chat) Could not test this.
Image

Great to see: History, FileTransfer :!:
Image

Select the file to send to your buddy.
Image

Upload of file finished. File seems to be transfered to a mundu-server (looks like it is public accessible :? )
Image

:) :( :o  :? 8) :x :P   Smilies   :!: :?:   :D
Image

List of the currently active chat-sessions.
Image

'Quick text' for the lazy ones. No need for keyboard-unfolding here :)
Image

Buddylist-sorting possibilities:
Image

Customizable presence status:
Image

Notification on new instant-messages:
Image

Let me summarize it... its great :)

It beats out the Meebo-client I am(was) currently using in every single point so far. (Except that meebo showed the most recent messages directly in the buddylist and Meebo could collapse buddy-groups).

This is based on the XMPP protocol, and use the smack API library?

hi
tis is good app.
Do we have to get license or any permission from the messenger clients(msn,yahoo,gtalk...) to provide acess or they r free to acess.
