SAMPLE FOR IMAGE ROTATION AROUND Z AXIS

HI all,
i'm new to open GL and unable to find some a sample program in rotation of a 2D image around the z axis.

Like, i have a 2D image of a coin, i need to spin it around the Z axis .Can anyone help me with a sample woring program????
