I need to complete a practicum in computer science this summer to finish my coursework toward my undergraduate degree. I'm planning on doing a project related to android and opengl es.
I was thinking about creating a 'toy' framework for doing 3d animation/scene management.
I'd also like to try and create some thing that someone would actually like to use while developing android opengl applications, so I was thinking (with the help of my professor) about doing a benchmarking type of app.
This app would run a series of test that asses the ability of the hardware to render scenes of varying complexity, hoping, in the end, to provide developers a general understanding of what the capabilities specific hardware platform are.
Does anyone have any feedback, or android opengl related projects they'd like to see done?
Sorry for the long post, thanks alot for reading!
