problem in coloring images

Postby Avw » Tue Oct 12, 2010 8:38 am

Hi all,

Im trying to develop a coloring app... while developing it ....i was stuck with a problem..Im using layout to display images. The problem is that the images get overlapped...

for example i have two images...second image placed inside the first image.. if i color the first image the second image also gets colored and if i color second image then first image also gets colored... that is the images are overlapped....

Now how can i color the two images separately ? and
how to prevent overlapping of two images ?

Please help me....Thanx in advance... :)

I can think of two possibilities.

1) If you are using multiple overlapping imageViews defined in your layout.xml, android will handle the any transparency across views. Suppose you color the larger image, the overlaying smaller image with transparency will see the color change of the underlying image. Likewise coloring the smaller image would affect the area of the image it overlays.

2) Both images are instances of the same resource, which share a common state. Changing the resource in one state will change it in all instances.
