Need help with HTC Tattoo

Greetings,

HTC Tattoo users have reported problems with the Quadrant benchmark. Apparently the OpenGL initialization results in a crash on that device. I realize that Tattoo has no GPU, but I wondering why the error handling code does not work on that device.

Can someone run Quadrant 1.0-beta6 or newer on a HTC Tattoo and post the output from logcat?

Hi, I just tried Beta 7 and it doesn't run.

This is the logcat (only displays one error line and three warnings):

No, the screen just goes black for about two seconds and then the desktop is shown. It doesn't show a "Force close" dialog.

How you solve this problem i have same problem,

Screen will become blank for 2 seconds and activity will close...

I've successfully run the TyphonRT tutorial suite on the Tattoo. I don't have one personally to test with. TyphonRT handles it's own context creation, so I don't use the Google provided helper classes / infrastructure. My advice would be to put error checks after each OpenGL ES method call during any initialization code - egl.eglGetError(); Find out exactly where things are erroring out and check the error value. Basically a little divide and conquer debugging and hopefully when the actual error point is found there is a solution.. ;)
