Memory leakage when drawing alpha bitmap

Hi, I tried to draw an alpha bitmap with a BLUR paint. I found if I draw it, for example 500 times,

for(500 times){
canvas.drawBitmap(alphaBitmap, 0, 0, p);
}

the memory usage goes up to hundreds M. Can anyone explain why?
