Good day!

My school project is somehow difficult, I want my app that can draw on a textView just like "Paint". like it can draw anything: lines, circle, and so on.

Is this possible in Android?

Yes, it is possible. Im no expert, but I can say for sure that it would take a long time for someone new to java.

Challenging project. Sure it is possible. Well, maybe all of it other than the "anything" wording:)

There might be some sample code out there that does some simple drawing application. Did you try a web search.

The Android SDK comes with sample files, take a look at the ApiDemos sample project, which includes the painting demo Fingerpaint.java.

I tried to import the said folder "ApiDemos" but eclipse generated and error "No projects are found to import".

Why is that so???

Hi rjuy,

I recommend that you go to the Android Developer website: http://developer.android.com/index.html and go through the tutorial sections before you start coding your own app. This is going to save you a lot of time, trust me!

Agree. With no Java experience, no eclipse experience, and no mobile phone experience, the google developer site got me up and coding Android applications in no time. It is a waste to do anything without first going to that site and doing following their guides.

the project will not import into Eclipse. you need to create it: new -->android project-->create project from existing source
