Hi,

Thanks for the fast reply. Still, the camera isnt working for me as it just shows a stagnant blue screen and nothing else. Also, when i tried running on the emulator, it gives me this warning message.

While launching appl,
Launch using "Run Configurations" [Right click on appl and choose "Run As" -> "Run Configurations"] and in this window select target platform 1.1

I probably need the application to be compatible for 1.5. Is there anyway making it to be runnable on 1.5 platform rather than changing my run configurations?

I've succeeded converting it to 1.5 version, it work on emulator but I have some questions...
+ How to implement a "real time viewer" for displaying scenery before capturing? because I want to see what will be captured :D
+ How to use computer webcam as a camera for emulator?
Thanks for attention and sorry for my poor English.

Android emulator doesn't support web cam, but u can customize this feature, refer this
http://www.tomgibara.com/android/camera-source
u can achieve "real time viewer" by using this.

Hey i was wondering if u can help me in retrieving the RGB data in the image....I am developing an motion detection app on android (which i will later utilize for a game). I have made posts regarding any help but none so far...

This is how intend to do...

1. Capture 1st image.
2. Read the image RGB value.
3. Parse the red channel only and remove any other color i.e. g and b (for the time being)
4. Obtain the data to create a blob (a defined space of red values) and store it.
5. Take the 2nd picture and repeat steps 2, 3, 4.
6. Compare the data and determine the direction on motion.

If u have any other option of determining the motion and its direction using any other android sensor u r welcome.
