I am a new comer for developing android.I have a question about get the suspend/sleep mode event.
I want to write a BroadcastReciever which can get the suspend/sleep mode action.
How can I do directly or indirectly ? or Where can I reference information about it ?

does anyone know how to do it??

I too am looking for a solution to this problem, please if anyone knows how to put the phone to sleep/hibernate it would be much appreciated if you can share the solution.

you can look for the ACTION_SCREEN_OFF intent in your broadcast receiver.
