A few months ago I wrote some code to let you "cross-off" things in a ListView. By wiping your finger left-to-right over an item it will add a strike-through effect to the text, and right-to-left would reverse the effect. Also, it stores the crossed-off status in a backend database.

plusminus or jsharkley... I was just wondering why couldn't we just have used a custom view and implemented this in the OnTouchListener for the custom view showing each row? We could then put the code that you have in the OnTouchEvent in the OnTouchListener of the view to determine if it was really a horizontal swipe accross the view.. Maybe I'm missing something I was just thinking of an easier way without having to use an overlaying frame layout that intercepted the touches and "passed through" the touches that were not horizontal swipes... I will try it but I just wanted to get your opinion.... if it is fails I will probably just use jsharkley's method....
