psoriasis symptoms

What do psoriasis symptoms look like? Please don't answer if you do not have first hand knowledge of psoriasis. What are the beginning symptoms? I have psoriasis on my scalp & elbows, not bad but it is there, now suddenly I have 3 bumps on my arm, by my elbow that itch like hell. They seem like bites, except they are graduated in size and very red. I took antihistamines but the itch is back, and no improvement. Any help? If it is an out break any advice to stop them?
